Ken Brown's amazing bream brace tops 32lb
Ken Brown netted two bream for over 32lb in just four hours. Taken from a large Hertfordshire reservoir, the brace also contained a pb for the Tring-based angler, a specimen of 17lb 8oz.
It was backed up by the roofer with one of 15lb, both caught on the second night of a three-day session from a clear area between weedbeds at 50yds’ range.
“I baiting the spot regularly with groundbait, pellets, sweetcorn and chopped worms,” said the 48-year-old. “I caught my previous pb of 15lb 5oz from the area in August, but since then bites had been hard to come by,” he added.
Ken’s tactics consisted of a lobworm tail tipped with a red maggot on a size 10 hook and a 1ft, 8lb Korda IQ fluorocarbon hooklink.
