A new British record almaco jack has been caught.
Brent Hanley was spinning with sandeel bait out of the Hanois, Guernsey when he caught the 1lb 14oz 3dr specimen.
The extremely rare fish beats the current Bailiwick and Channel Islands Record of 1-7-12, caught by C. Torode back in August 2007 off Grandes Rocques, Guernsey.
This fish also qualifies as a new British record, which was held by the same person.
