Change in bait results in new pb

A change in bait brought a welcome end to a run of 12 blank sessions for Stephen Bennett and he has now landed four fish in four sessions on a Staffordshire stillwater.

On his latest short overnight session he landed mirrors of 35lb 4oz and 25lb 4oz, both of which were caught from a clear area among the weed at 45 yards range. The biggest of the two was a new pb for Stephen and came within 6oz of breaking the lake record.

He put his faith in chopped Mainline Baits Cell hookbaits which he fished in conjunction with a PVA stick on a 6ins Fox Coretex hooklink and a size 6 Fox Arma Point LS hook.
