Former 'match only' water opens for day tickets

A venue that has used to be reserved solely for match anglers has been opened up to day ticket anglers and the early results have been exceptional.

The water – which is part of a large Midlands complex – has produced match bags to over 320lb in the past and pleasure rods will now be able to get a piece of the action following the decision of the owners to swing the gates open on selects days.

“This is fantastic water with a national reputation and it’s great news for everyone. It is home to hundreds of double figure carp and it’s rare to land anything under 7lb,” explained an excited local.
