Match angler banks a 15lb sturgeon on the pole in a match

A matchman banked a 15lb sturgeon from Aston Park Fisheries in Sheffield during a recent match.

David Patrickson got a huge shock when the fish surfaced after a 15 minute battle – he was convinced it was a big carp. It was landed on white hydrolastic and 0.13mm line direct to a size 20 hook.
