Magiscroft Fishery raised over £1,000 last week at their annual charity memorial match.
Youngster Scott Laird topped the forty-five strong field on the day with 33lb 3oz from the Main Loch. John Whitelaw took runners-up spot with 25lb 8oz followed by Dylan Duncan in third place with 21lb 8oz, both also fishing the Main Loch.
In total £1075 was raised from the match and an auction. All money raised was donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Tommy Lauriston, Magiscroft Angling Club match secretary and organiser of the event said “I’d like to thank all who donated and took part in what was another very successful charity event. Thanks also to all who assisted in the running of the event and to Magiscroft Fishery for donating the trophies.”
