Rolf's silverfish record smashed

The match record for a bag of silverfish at Rolfs Lake has been smashed after Chris Telling weighed in 75lb 8oz of skimmer bream.

He began his session by targeting carp, but after an early 12lb fish things went very quiet so he changed to fishing pieces of worm over chopped worm and micropellets.

More than two dozen skimmers to 3lb followed, together with 53lb of carp in-between, giving him a match winning total of 128lb 8oz.

Chris attacked his swim at the famous Wheatley, Oxford bagging water with a size 14 hook and 0.158mm hooklength.
