Boilie and maggot combo fools stunning 38lb 14oz mirror

This stunning 38lb 14oz fully-scaled mirror was caught during a recent session on CEMEX Angling’s Frimley Pit 3 by Iain Stevens.

The 42-year-old Wychwood consultant targeted a pocket of silt at 50yds range in an area of the lake which hadn’t received any angling pressure.

His successful presentation consisted of a trimmed-down 10mm Mainline Baits Pineapple pop-up tipped with a few maggots on a size 10 Gardner Mugga hook and a 15lb Black Silt hooklink. This was cast out with a medium-sized PVA bag of maggots.
