Massive match weights from Viaduct Fishery on the waggler
Viaduct Fishery in Somerset has hit some top spring form with multiple 200lb weights recorded, as its annual winter ban on pellet baits was lifted.
Waggler tactics have reigned supreme, both on the deck and up-in-the-water, with an 8mm hair-rigged hard pellet. Top weight last week went to Tom Mangall with 228lb 6oz in the Paul Garrett memorial match, taken from peg 128 on Campbell Lake.
Former Fish O’ finalist Ray Hayward finished second in that match with over 190lb and won the previous Thursday event with 224lb 3oz, again the waggler figuring from peg 99 on Cary where he found fish to 16lb.
