42lb pike landed from Chew Valley Reservoir

This is the exclusive picture the pike world has been waiting for - Ray Jones’ huge 42lb predator caught during the opening week of pike trials on Chew Valley Reservoir in Somerset.

The impressive specimen, which falls just 4oz short of the fishery record, was landed by the 63-year-old and capped an incredible seven day period on the Bristol Water controlled venue which saw three different thirties and 23 fish over the 20lb-barrier landed.
