Jersey Wood Fishery opens in style

The opening week at the brand new Jersey Wood Fishery was a memorable one for all concerned with a series of impressive catches recorded.

Visitors have flocked to the Warwickshire complex with local rod Andy Houghton enjoying a hectic debut session as he used popped up corn close to the island of Daisy’s Pool to net a 21lb mirror and a series of other specimens to 14lb.

Tamworth’s Alan Hemming’s used maggot on Kestrel Pool to take a great catch of quality roach, while Harry’s Pool threw up an 80lb net of carp to Gavin and Chris Phillips.
