35lb mirror is first from Linch Hill's tough lake
A single hookbait presented in a hole in the weed gave Bryson Bell this dark 35lb mirror.
The fish was the only one to grace the bank during a tricky 40-hour spell at Christchurch on the Linch Hill Fishery in Oxfordshire.
The Essex angler said: “This was my first fish out of Christchurch and the only fish out while I was there. The fishing was tough going and I was over the moon to bag such a stunner.”
The fish fell to a white 12mm Sticky Krill pop-up soaked in matching glug fished on a blowback rig at 60 yards.
