41lb 8oz common from Yorkshire day ticket fishery
How’s this for a Yorkshire day-ticket forty?
Teenager Reece Lisle snared the chunk at Willows Lake near Methley during a 48-hour session which also yielded fish of 34lb 8oz, 20lb 8oz and five doubles.
The 18-year-old Bradford rod moved into a productive area on Easter Sunday and got action almost immediately.
He said: “I jumped in peg 16 and the angler that was in it before me was only fishing close in, so I was happy that no lines had been at 100yds-plus, so I put my rods at 115yds to the bar where I’d seen fish showing.
“Ten minutes later I lost a lump. I was gutted but I put it back out and 40 minutes later it went again with the Big Common at 41lb 8oz! I really wanted this common and it’s made my year!”
Reece fished Sticky Krill boilies on snowman rigs featuring Korda N-Trap and BMG Curve hooks.
