Change of swim produces eight tench to 10lb 6oz
A change of swims paid dividends for Kevin Durman who netted eight tench to a best of 10lb 6oz.
The Sonubaits-backed rod didn’t just move pegs, but decided to pack away his gear and switch his attentions to a totally different lake on Medway Valley Fisheries’ Larkfield complex in Kent.
It proved to be a wise decision as his paternoster maggot feeder rigs, baited with maggots on size 10 Korum hooks, were soon working their magic.
“I hadn’t had a touch so instead of just sitting there hoping the tench would move in I decided to give another lake a try and target slightly shallower water on top of a gravel bar. Thankfully it paid off,” Kevin told Angling Times.
