Chub personal best from River Trent

Richard Easom took a break from his usual barbel fishing antics to take this personal best 6lb 12oz chub from the River Trent.

The Three Foot Twitch Baits boss targeted a swim on the Middle reaches of the waterway with his Rubber Dubby and Flamin’ Furter hookbaits.

Using a bed of boilie dumbells to draw in the fish, Richard cast a single offering over the top which his new pb simply could not ignore.

“As soon as I hooked the fish I knew it was a chub as it was fighting doggedly to get into a snag. I managed to steer it away and land what was a beautiful specimen that looked every bit as big as it weighed,” he said.
