Five bream to 14lb 11oz in afternoon session

You don’t need to spend days at a time camped out on the bank to catch big fish – as proved by James Magnus who landed five double figure bream to a new personal best of 14lb 11oz in the space of a few hours.

The London-based angler visited a local stillwater for an afternoon session and introduced a large bed of pellets, hemp and mashed bread over a spot 40yds out.
It didn’t take long for the shoal to find his Method feeder approach and a 13lb 14oz specimen was soon in the net.

Other large slabs of 11lb 12oz, 11lb 8oz and 10lb 2oz were taken and in the dying stages of the session he won the battle with his new pb.
