Six tench to 10lb 4oz in just two hours for Drennan champion

Two hours was all the time that Jamie Cartwright needed to bank this 10lb 4oz tench along with five other fish.

The reigning Drennan Cup Champion from Northamptonshire followed up the recent capture of an 11lb 5oz personal best with this impressive haul from a stillwater in the Midlands.

Hair-rigged fake casters have been doing the business for him recently and this session proved to be no different as the Northants Specimen Group member fished the artificial hookbait in conjunction with a PVA bag filled with casters. He also landed tench weighing 8lb 15oz, 8lb 9oz, a personal best male fish at 8lb 12oz, plus a brace of six-pounders.
