Top River Trent chub brace

Adrian Needham’s fantastic run of form on the River Trent has continued with a brace of chub for a combined weight of 12lb 8oz.

Fishing a section on the middle reaches of the waterway, the venue regular took fish of 6lb 8oz and 6lb on a Three Foot Twitch Dubby boilie fished on a long fluorocarbon hooklink in conjunction with a cage feeder.

He told Angling Times: “I’ve been having a great season so far in terms of the chub fishing. I’m very optimistic of upping my personal best of 7lb as the year progresses and I’m also looking forward to having a go for the barbel now that autumn is approaching.”
