Huge mirror carp on first night

Adrian Hunt struck gold on the first night of a four-day session with this 39lb 4oz mirror known as Four Scale.

The fish came from the Main Lake at Essex’s Fryerning Fisheries and picked up the 42-year-old Ipswich docker’s hi-vis snowman rig.

Adrian baited with 100 free offerings of Urban Baits’ Nutcracker boilies and used fluorescent versions of the same bait to create his snowman offering. His rig was positioned 80 yards out in a silty area and was made with a fluorocarbon hooklength and a Korda Kurv hook.
