Preston Innovations back new feeder event

The 2016 Feeder Masters competition has received a massive shot in the arm this week.

Tackle giant Preston Innovations is to sponsor this eagerly-awaited event, which will see feeder-only matches being contested on a range of natural and commercial waters, culminating in a big-money grand final.

The Telford company has pledged its support for the event, devised by England Feeder team member Mick Vials, who has also recruited fellow International Lee Kerry as a co-ordinator.

Both men are eager to get cracking. They’re also asking anglers to nominate waters that could hold qualifiers in 2016 – these can be rivers, natural lakes, big canals or commercials. So long as they’re big enough to hold plenty of pegs and provide good fishing, the team are all ears!

“Our main priority is finding good fishing, which I know is never easy to guarantee!” said Lee.
“We’d love to hear from anglers about their favourite venues and big catches to help us choose the best qualifying venues for 2016.

“Our Facebook page ‘Feeder Masters’ is now live, and we have several great venues already in mind, but we welcome all suggestions to help make the event something anglers simply must fish!”
Preston Innovations is also looking forward to the competition, which will work on a Fish O’Mania-style basis with anglers fishing qualifiers and going through to the final. The wide spread of venues means that whether you fish small carp waters or big tidal rivers, there will be a style of fishing to suit and give anglers the best chance of making it through.

“Mick came to us with this fantastic idea for a feeder-only competition. He has a real passion, along with a format that is a proven winner among anglers,” said Preston Innovations brand manager Scott Geens.

“With Mick having already put together a professional team to run the event, we’re happy to back what promises to be an exciting prospect for everyone involved.

“We are fully committed to helping make this competition a success, and will be for the foreseeable future.”
