Soaking your boilies in lake water to drain them of colour, then adding flavour, is a popular tactic among carpers. The theory is that pressured carp can associate fresh, bright baits with imminent danger and lurking anglers, but they let their guard down around seemingly older offerings.
Enterprise Tackle has tapped into this trait with a range of fake sweetcorn and boilies with more muted colours. The buoyant sweetcorn versions look particular good, while the 15mm boilies will be useful to anglers who fish among crayfish and other nuisance species. Each plastic boilie also has a small recess for putty or a split shot to enable it to be critically balanced.
