How to target and catch big stillwater tench

Dai Gribble is a bit of an expert at catching big stillwater tench. Many years targeting this beautiful species has helped him hone his skills, rigs, baits and techniques making him one of the most successful tench anglers in Britain.

Mark Parker, of Improve Your Coarse Fishing magazine, met up with Korum-sponsored Dai on the banks of Linear Fisheries in Oxfordshire to find out how he tackles a stillwater for them.

Part of the session was captured on video, and Dai explains the two rigs he uses, the baits he prefers to feed and how he copes with weed - a problem often associated with fishing larger tench venues.
