korum’s new range for 2019
For years Korum has been a market leader for discerning big-fish anglers of all discipines.
Its chairs and rucksacks are widely regarded as some of the best available, to the point where those who pursue specimen fish other than carp are often referred to as ‘Korum anglers’. Advances in materials and design, spearheaded by anglers of the status of multiple Drennan Cup winner Dai Gribble and Korum brand manager Mat Woods, ensure that this happy situation is set to continue.
Amid a plethora of new kit for 2019 is an easy-erect Supa-Lite day shelter that weighs in at only 2kg, and a matching Supa-Lite Aeronium chair that makes light work of transporting your home-from-home seating to the bank.
New reels – the Zelos 6000 Mini Big-Pit and the reasonably priced Axis 3000 and 4000 – should prove hugely popular, while the highly respected Neoteric rod range makes a very welcome return with four new models.
Here’s Angling Times’ pick of Korum’s new gear for 2019...
Super-lite aeronium chair
I’ve handled many ‘lightweight’ chairs during my years as tackle editor, but nothing comes close to this latest Korum beauty.
Made from magnesium alloy, it’s phenomenally light, yet strong enough to cope with the heftiest of rear ends.
The webbing seat is comfy and hard-wearing, while the shoulder support area is padded and covered in soft peachskin fabric for comfort.
Fully adjustable legs and swivelling mudfeet suit it to all types of terrain.

SUPA-LITE SHELTER
Korum’s lightest-ever shelter, with its four-spoke rib design, features the latest reverse tension mechanism offering a quick and trouble-free put-up even in windy conditions. A flexible graphite pole adds to stability, allowing it to be used on all terrains, while its unique profiling slots it into the tightest of swims. It comes with heavy-duty pegs.

SNAPPER DOUBLE HARD PIKE FLOATS
Made from hard balsa wood with a super-tough Platane finish, this very comprehensive range of pike floats covers all scenarios.
The 15cm-long, 15g Slim Slider float is sure to be particularly popular, as it offers minimal resistance to finicky feeders such as zander and perch.

WITH plenty of input from Korum’s predator ace Ed Matthews, five Cult rods cover every predatory tactic, from vertical jig fishing to casting out large deadbaits.
Built around full carbon blanks, all are finished with ceramic-lined guides, full and abbreviated cork handles, and super secure screw-down reel fittings.

SNAPPER READY SHADS
If it swims and has teeth, these new Korum Ready Shads make perfect bite-sized morsels.
Tested over two years with impressive results, they come in Natural and Fluoro colours, to imitate common prey species.
The chevron rib-effect body generates extra movement, increasing turbulence and attracting the attention of predators. Each lure comes with a super-sharp high carbon hook and jighead, one to each pack. In 5g, 8g and 10g weights.
