Stephen Dewhurst banked two grayling for nearly 6lb during a trip on the River Test.
The running water enthusiast braved the harsh conditions and trotted red maggots on a stretch of the Hampshire waterway to take specimens of 2lb 14oz and 2lb 10oz (pictured.
He told Angling Times: “These grayling were definitely worth getting soaked for, because the larger 2lb 14oz fish is a new personal best!”
