3lb 6oz grayling is pick of the bunch

Jerry Antrobus had a session to remember when he slipped the net under this 3lb 6oz grayling.

He was fishing a stretch of the River Frome in Dorset and loosefed maggots to attract the grayling into the swim, which he picked off with floatfishing tackle.

A 5AAA Drennan Crystal Avon float was his weapon of choice and a sweetcorn hookbait was the offering that fooled the specimen that came during a day that also produced 25 other grayling between Jerry and his fishing partner.
