cats take a back seat to this 53lb ebro carp

Martin Hodgkinson had a battle on his hands when he hooked this 53lb river carp.

He proved that Spain’s River Ebro has much more to offer than giant catfish when he backed the capture up with two forties, seven fish over 30lb and five twenties over a prolific four-day period.

All Martin’s fish fell to boilies presented on multi rigs. 

The Ebro is very special to the specimen hunter from Wolverhampton, as the giant mirror came from exactly the same spot that produced a river record common of 63lb 4oz for him a few years ago.
