First trip finds 100lb-plus cat

Paul Sadler (right) had a fight on his hands when a big lump of liver was taken by this huge 100lb-plus catfish.

It was his first-ever session fishing for the species and it took almost 40 minutes to land with the help of 12lb mainline.He was fishing a stillwater in the South of the UK and has said a massive thanks to a fellow angler that helped him land the giant.

“I would have never got it in if it wasn’t for Steve Rouse (left) as it was absolutely massive….I must get a bigger net,” he said.
