Personal best pike from pit
A small Nottinghamshire gravel pit has produced a 31lb 13oz pike. Local angler Dave Newman was floatfishing a roach in 15ft of water when the new personal best fell into his trap.
It was one of five fish that he landed during the session and it tops a great season so far – Dave has also banked a pb zander and his biggest-ever river pike weighing in at 23lb 9oz.
