River perch monster landed

The number of big perch that have been hitting the bank in recent weeks has been remarkable, and few anglers are better at catching them on lures than Dan Sales.

He targets both canals and rivers for the species and covers many miles in a single session in order to locate the biggest fish.

This perch, estimated to have weighed well over the 3lb mark, was beaten by the Hertfordshire specimen hunter when he fished a southern river with lure fishing tactics. A number of other big stripeys fell to him during the same trip.
