What is the best way to attach a PVA stringer?

STEVE RENYARD:

Attaching the PVA stringer sometimes depends on the rig you’re using. For instance, if you’re using a rig which has a hair like my basic-complicated rig, I’d start by threading on six boilies onto the tape and leaving a length of excess PVA at either end.

I then tie the tape around the hair and hook, trapping it against the back of the shank which fixes the hookbait in place and eliminates any possibility of a tangle.

Simply tighten up the boilies to each other and then hook the tape around the point to finish the stringer off! It’s a simple but hugely effective method which is massively underused.

PVA stringers may be underused but they are highly effective
