Nash launches new pleasure fishing tackle brand

Down the years Nash Tackle has earned a solid reputation for producing a wide range of high-quality equipment for the carp market, so when boss Kevin Nash revealed he was launching a new range of kit aimed at the commercial pleasure angler market, it really did make me sit up and take notice.

Among the first items to be unveiled in the new Peg One brand sometime in the new year is a clever new chair system called ‘The Transformer’. It will be available in both Recliner and Armchair format and (here’s the really clever bit) the chair can be converted easily for use with a trolley kit (costing £49.99). Once fitted this does not have to be removed and can be used to fish from with the wheels still in situ. Other accessories available for the chair include an adjustable rod pod arm, and a cleverly constructed double sided Bait-Waiter.

Dr Paul Garner, the man charged with the responsibility for driving the new Nash brand told Angling Times: “I am absolutely thrilled to have the chance to work with Kevin and his team on the new range. Peg One is aimed squarely at how we fish today, fusing the latest match and specimen developments into products that will help you catch more and bigger fish.”

But Nash has not forsaken its roots, with plenty of new carp items on the agenda, including the eagerly-awaited new Nash Siren bite alarms. Priced at £132 per head, plus £153 for the receiver, the new alarms will be available in five popular colours including a rather natty clear version.

Another great product is the new Nash Titan brolly. ‘Absolutely bombproof’ is the only way to describe this solidly-constructed, quick-to-erect shelter, which has no annoying ribs to whack your head on and boasts more than enough floor space to accommodate a bed chair plus some luggage.
