Reservoirs produce string of monster pike
With many of the big trout reservoirs having opened for their annual predator trials, the specimen fish have been coming thick and fast, including this 27lb 8oz pike to Paul Garner.
Somerset’s Chew Valley Lake has already produced a string of dream pike, with four ‘thirties’ having been caught so far to 30lb 12oz.
Cambs’ Grafham Water has also been in great form, with pike to 27lb, zander to 18lb 8oz and also a rumoured 5lb-plus perch. Over at Pitsford Reservoir, in Northants, there have been rumours of a 38lb pike falling to a trout angler.
One man taking advantage of the great sport this week and landing two pbs off the back of it was Paul Garner.
