The Warrington AA ace decided to use groundbait feeder tactics with casters hookbaits and managed to land a number of small slabs early in the session before specimens of 8lb 3oz and 7lb 3oz made an appearance. At the weigh in the dial on the scaled swung round to 26lb 8oz to give him a comfortable victory and a place in the history books.
