Spitfire Pool's Wood Common caught at 48lb 8oz

One of the biggest and best looking common carp in the country has been landed by Joe Morgan in the form of this 48lb 8oz specimen from Airfield Lakes’ Spitfire Pool in Norfolk.

The Carp-TV presenter caught the immaculate common from a small clear channel among the weed with a Mainline Baits Cell pop-up mounted on a chod rig over a scattering of freebies.

Joe said: “It’s simply the nicest and most impressive carp I’ve ever caught. I’d like to thank Rich Wilby for creating such a special little venue and for doing an incredible job with the pics.”
