Wye produces 100lb chub bag for pleasure angler

A trip to a club controlled stretch of the River Wye ended with Richard Pierce landing well over 100lb of chub and a bonus double figure pike.

The Warrington AA member made the journey to the association’s water and was able to take fish to 5lb at regular intervals on feeder and halibut pellets.

Things got even better later in the day when the alarm on his deadbait rod screamed off and a few minutes later there was a 19lb 9oz predator nestling in the bottom of the net.
