Biggest match weight of the year landed
Top match angler Paul Holland managed to net the biggest match catch of 2012 so far when he hauled out a back breaking 214lb 2oz during the latest event at Gold Valley.
The Preston Innovations rod decided to use the Method feeder after picking peg 118 on Syndicate Lake at the Surrey complex and was able to take carp to double figures on a regular basis.
Weights tailed off dramatically from then on, with Reading’s Maurice Woodley landing 89lb 5oz for second place and Daiwa Dorking ace Paul Hillier just behind on 86lb 2oz.
