New Fishery on Coole Lane, Nantwich now open!

Cheshire’s new carp and coarse fishery, Coole Acres Fishery, on Coole Lane, Nantwich, celebrated its first day of trading with a Grand Opening on Saturday June 16th. Despite the weather, the event drew local families, anglers and visitors to the newly established site and everybody enjoyed the hog roast, home-made cakes and cookies, Snugburys ice cream and drinks from the mobile bar provided by the Lord Combermere. The fishery team were on hand to provide further information about the business and some recent catches.

Several anglers braved the weather on the lake banks, enjoying their free angling for the opening day, resulting in around a dozen carp being caught throughout the event.

The fishery can be found on Coole Lane, off the A530 near Nantwich and is situated on a 20-acre site, surrounded by the beautiful Cheshire landscape. It boasts a number of lakes with the three-acre specimen Carp Lake well stocked with carp up to 27lb in weight, and three smaller one-acre fishing lakes as well as further facilities (toilets and an anglers lodge with a refreshment/lounge area, bait shop and showers currently under construction).

Brian and Bianca look forward to welcoming you to their fishery between 8am and 8pm open every day (Day tickets are £12 for the specimen lake, £8.50 for the coarse lakes). Please register at the barn after entering the site.
