Seals go on the rampage on Southern river
A population of seals is threatening the fishing on Kent’s River Stour, if pictures like this are anything to go by.
It was taken from a location at Grove Ferry near Canterbury, several miles inland as the crow flies, and reports suggest that between 60 and 70 seals are present on the river.
Local anglers report that their presence has had a serious impact on the pike fishing, with some taking fish off anglers hooks and very few big pike having being reported this winter.
