Wychwood Essex Carp Championships – Open Demonstration Day

May 2011 saw the 1st Essex Carp Championships take place at Newlands Hall Fishery in the outskirts of Chelmsford, Essex. After 3 heats and a final 1 lucky pair was crowned “The Essex carp Champions 2011” they walked away with some cracking prizes and a nice fistful of cash.

The 2012 event though is set to be massive. The event is now sponsored by Wychwood, there are 5 qualifiers on 4 different waters, the prize money has gone up to £3000 and Wychwood are providing hundreds of pounds worth of prizes. It is a mega event!

To run alongside this year’s event Wychwood and Nutrabaits will also be holding an Open Demonstration day and junior event on Saturday May 19th (The day of the final) at Newlands Hall.

There are two other Lakes on the complex both offering a great head of carp, silvers, bream and tench, so whilst the final is taking place, Wychwood consultants will be available for demonstrations, advice and tips and will show you literally how to put more carp on the bank.

Why not come and spend a day taking part and learning from some of the very best carp anglers in the country, catch loads of fish of all species and take the opportunity to take part in an advanced clinic by the likes of Colin Davidson and Jim Wilson as they take you stalking and floater fishing around this stunning complex.
