Big perch dominate in Kennet and Avon Canal match

Big perch ruled supreme during the latest contest on the Kennet and Avon Canal with Justin McBere putting together 29lb 9oz of them to top the pile.

The Tubertini South rod used a simple worm and caster attack on the long pole line from his peg at Froxfield and netted numerous fish over the 2lb mark during the memorable session.

That was more than double of the nearest chaser, with Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths man Matt Herbert landing second place with 14lb 1oz.
