Milemead Fisheries record broken
SIMON Humphries broke the Milemead Fisheries Specimen Lake record with the capture of this 30lb 3oz mirror.
The 37-year-old Devon-based builder cast a trimmed down Sticky 20mm boilie tipped with a piece of artificial corn tight to a reed bed in a small bay to his left in 4ft of water and flicked out 10 free offerings over the top.
He received the all-important bite 10 minutes after landing a small common and after a powerful 10 minute fight he had the new venue best beaten.
His winning presentation consisted of a 9ins fluorocarbon hooklink tied to a size 8 Gardner Tackle size 8 Mugga hook.
