Single bait produces the goods for David Boult

CASTING towards showing fish at range produced this cracking 32lb 2oz common from David Boult during a recent short session on a West Sussex stillwater.

The Pagham-based logistics supervisor had seen fish moving at around 130 yards range and wasted no time whacking a single white CC Moore Northern Special pop-up towards the activity.
This was mounted on a long running chod rig tied with Gardner Tackle Tripwire and a size 6 Covert Chod hook.

He said: “I’d set up in a swim where I’d caught a lot of fish from last year, but when I saw around 20 odd shows towards the other side of the lake I quickly upped sticks and moved. I had the bite the next morning just as I was packing away and after steering it away from a set of snags I had my prize in the net.”
