Float magician Mick Wilkinson has been making hand-made specials for those in the know for more years than I care to remember. A great angler in his own right, his creations are used by the Steve Ringer, to name just angling superstar who admires the man’s extraordinary craft and attention to detail. Willkie’s Steady range as shown is a winter commercial fishery favourite, as it remains steady in blustery conditions and can be held still in a slight undertow. The decent-sized bristle is easy to see at longer pole lengths, and its rugby ball-shaped body is simple to shot up and dot down when fishing small baits for fast-biting F1s.
