Para-Point

Guru Kaizen hooks
Guru's new Kaizen is a super strong barbless, spade end, PTFE-coated hook ideal for any bait. The company's portfolio of top level consultants have told us that this pattern works especially well with luncheon meat however. These super-strong Kodex Genomic hooks are forged from the finest Japanese carbon steel, and feature incredibly sharp and slightly beaked micro-points for the best possible hookhold.

Welsh-based match tackle brand Frenzee has just released these two new hook patterns aimed at commercial fishery anglers.
Both come in eyed and spade-end styles, with the 1420 ideal for use with many types of bait including pellet, meat and maggots. The wide gape, super sharp barbless is an all-rounder constructed using a medium gauge wire and can be used with hooklengths up to 0.20mm diameter.
The heavier 1624 pattern is a much stronger hook, and constructed using a thicker wire gauge, making it ideal for margin fishing when confidence is key. The super wide-gape hook is suitable for a variety of large baits such as paste, bread and small boilies, as well as multiple particle offerings. A true bagging hook that will not let you down.

Gardner Target Specimen Hooks
Gardner’s latest Target Specimen hooks have a covert camo finish, a beaked point and an inturned eye, perfect for a variety of baits and rigs.

Guru Pre-tied QM1 hooks
Match brand Guru has launched its superb eyed QMI circle hooks on pre-tied 4ins and 15ins hooklinks, in the Ready Rigs stable. The pattern, a favourite of World Feeder Champ Steve Ringer, has become a ‘must use’ on all commercials where hair-rigged hookbaits are the norm on either the Method feeder or straight lead.
The 4ins versions rather handily fit straight into a Guru Rig Case, while the 15ins hooklinks are all wound on to EVA foam spools. I admit that I couldn’t tie them any better myself.

VMC Spinshot Drop Shot Hooks
VMC's new Spinshot hooks make it incredibly easy to tie a drop shot rig and even incorporate wire into your set-up if pike are likely to be caught. The black nickel-finished pattern in Vanadium steel is light and strong, and features a wide bend gape and sticky sharp Spark point.
Each hook is mounted on to a lightweight wire form which allows your lure to rotate freely without generating line twist. Simply tie your line or trace to the top wire loop, then attach the line holding your weight to the bottom loop. Five per pack.
