A wild venue steeped in bream fishing history has bounced back with a bang after a long lull in form, with slabs well into double figures being landed on a daily basis.
In its heyday Nottinghamshire's famous Attenborough Gravel Pits used to draw anglers from all over the country in search of big bags of bream, but several decades ago the crowds dispersed and reports from the 360-acre complex began to drop off.
