We caught up with Jan aboard a boat on an old estate lake to find out as much as we can about lures, spinners, plugs and spinnerbaits.
Jan goes into great detail to ensure that you pick the right lure for the conditions and the venue, and also the time of the year taking into account the water temperature and the depth of any sub-surface weed.
He also covers line choice too, and how to make sure any newcomers to lure fishing don't get into any unnecessary problems because of the hook choice and layout.
