Crucians on the feed
Matthew Fernandez proved that crucians are on the feed right now when he banked this splendid pair weighing 4lb 2oz and 3lb 10oz. The bigger of the two sets a new personal best, and was part of a catch from a southern stillwater that had produced a 4lb 2oz fish for Matthew only the day before.
Drennan inline Method feeders baited with a combination of imitation casters and boilies were fished over the top of a mixture of groundbait and particles. “At midnight on the first night the caster rod screamed off, resulting in a superb 30lb mirror carp,” said the Dynamite Baits and Cygnet-backed angler.
“To bank the big brace of crucians and another fish weighing 4lb 2oz was a real achievement for me, and a great start to my 2017 crucian campaign.”
