Monster pike landed in the snow!
This picture proves why you should never let the weather put you off getting out on the bank.
Chesterfield rod Ben Wigfield won the battle with this pristine 24lb pike during a quick session at a local stillwater.
The fish is a new personal best and was fooled on a legered roach deadbait fished in conjunction with a 28lb wire trace and size 8 hooks.
“This is the first fish I’ve ever caught when there’s been snow on the ground. It was a right result and just goes to show that you can get bites whatever the weather,” said Ben.
