Rover gets his reward

Travelling light and roving the bank resulted in the capture of this 14lb 3oz barbel from a challenging Farnham AS-controlled stretch of the River Loddon.

Minimal gear enables anglers to fish as many swims as possible on this notoriously difficult venue, and that’s just what Kevin McCann chose to take.

A barbel of 9lb 5oz was first to take his fishmeal boilie, and the same bait later tempted his 14-pounder.
