Twelve tench topped by a 9lb 10oz giant

Ben Gillard enjoyed the tench fishing session of a lifetime with the capture of 12 tench topped by this 9lb 10oz specimen. 

The tattoo artist from Norwich fished an undisclosed lake in Norfolk to secure his new personal best for the species. 

“I caught 12 tench in total including a large male weighing 7lb 12oz. Four females were over 8lb, and two over 9lb, including this new pb of 9lb 10oz which is the icing on the cake of my tench fishing season so far.”

Ben fished Drennan blockend feeders with mag-aligner rigs over a Spombed mixture of groundbait, hemp and maggots to take all his fish.
